The CTS Officer ensures that optimum services relating to letters of credit,bank guarantees and documentary collections that are provided to ECT clients and that the maximum return  on these services is achieved by serving a team's key clients, by handling the most complex and/or high risk transactions and by providing commercial support. 

Your job

You are responsible for managing and processing of day-to-day Trade Finance transactions of the most complex, time consuming and high risk nature. You have experience in liaising with risk parties inside the bank to balance the risk for the bank vs the requirements of our customers. ECT Clients Commodities Trade Services (CTS) is responsible for a full range of services relating to letters of credits,bank guarantees and documentary collections that are provided globally to ECT clients of ABN AMRO. CTS  aims for operational excellence, so that ECT clients consider its services to be the best and fastest in the global ECT markets.

Your working environment

You will be working at the CTS Commodities Clients desk in Rotterdam in a team of 19 colleagues in an international business environment. You are flexible in traveling to and working in our Amsterdam and Rotterdam office.

Your profile

You have hands on Experience in the entire process of handling commodities collections, garantuees and Letters of Credit from issuing to settlement. Eager to improve,ambition to grow. 

  • Bachelor 's degree
  • At least 1-3 years experience in  International Trade and Trade Finance
  • In-depth  knowledge of Letters of Credit ,Bank Guarantees and Documentary Collections  
  • fully cognisant of  UCP,URDG,URC 522 and the ICC opinions on these
  • customer focussed, accuracy, risk consciousness, analytical and result driven
